Autumns Explosion of Color

Autumn's Explosion of Color ©  I painted this piece after a Plein air trip to White Sulphur Springs.  We had wonderful weather this day and were treated to some amazing vistas.  White Sulphur Springs in Montana is located near the Smith River where there are annual drawings for float trips. There is an annual music festival featuring the Red Ants Pants.  The town is very small but welcoming and I can't wait to go there again to paint.  

The custom frame moulding for this piece was made in Italy.
