I painted this piece following a field trip to Greenough Park and the Rattlesnake Recreation Area near Missoula, MT. The colors in the park are spectacular during the fall when the stream is clear and you can see the rocks as the water tumbles down the stream. This is a popular area for local hikers and I have taken my class there numerous times to paint on location
