Autumn Vista on the Bitterroot near Darby

I painted a smaller study from the Old Darby Road overlooking the Bitterroot River as it snaked through the valley between Darby and Hamilton.  There were a group of us artists who were all painting Plein Air that weekend and we later displayed our efforts at the Art Focus Gallery in Hamilton, MT.  The weather was absolutely perfect and the colors were at their peak.  I watched several people who were fishing and floating down the river.  From my small study, I created this larger piece. If you see me while I am out painting on location, please don't hesitate to stop and share some of the views with me.
