Small Gems

Initially I started to create a collection of smaller works to capture colors painting on location and to work out compositions before painting a larger piece. Over the past few years there have been a number of smaller works annual shows I have submitted work to. I have a following of collectors collecting the smaller gems.
Although some may be plein air and touched up a bit in the studio, the majority are painted on location. I had a collector who brought in their granddaughter who showed me some of the work she had created. She had started saving her money from babysitting and from chores and was there to purchase her first small painting from me. It was such a thrill to see there are some future budding artists out there who are working at their own paintings and are not so attached to their electronic devices. The collection of small works range between 4" square and 12"x 18".
